    A birthday present....

I don't think Reva reads these forums so I'll go ahead and post this before I mail it.
A good friend and forum member's wife Reva gets alittle younger on Monday and I had this hunk of Norfolk Island Pine laying around so.....
I had a good deal of help from Mike Reitveld down here in St. Mary's, Ga on this one. I designed and did 99% of the turning but gave me alot of help and pointers. Finish is three coats of Formby's tung oil.

That is a beautiful piece Pat!

I was just daydreaming, but I think I would need to borrow it if one day I go to visit Jesse's place
Nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that! -Rocky Balboa-

Beautiful, Pat. The finish is great and the pattern formed inside is amazing.

Very nice! Didn't think one could get such a nice sheen out of tung oil alone!
