    Some boxes and pens

These are my latest "round" work.

This box is made of sycamore. About 4" in diameter. I bought the lid insert from Craft Supplies.

The next box is cedar, About 4 1/2" in diameter.

The last box is spralded Tamarind (sp), about 2 1/2" in diameter.

One pen is cocobolo with a satin copper finish and the other is bocote with bright copper finish. I'd like to thank Hank Lee for putting me on to Bear Woods where I bought the kits. Good service and a good price.

    Thanks for looking,
    DonHo

I think I may have Spralded my ankle once, but that is a nice Spalted wood box.

Seriously, nice work. How are you finishing them? Sanding to xxxx, then finish with _______?

Nice work, Don. Both the Sycamore and the spalted box are exceptional.

The boxes are sanded to 400 then sealed with sanding sealer, then I used EEE and finished with Mylands Friction polish.

The pens are sanded to 1200 then EEE and finished with Hut Crystal coat.
