    A couple of finished projects

I just finished the bookcase for my son. It was originally designed to have doors covering the bottom 3 shelves but he changed his mind before the doors were started ( or they would be on there ). Made of Lowes red oak and 3/4" oak ply. finished with 2 coats of water based polly. My first use of the HF HVLP unit I bought a while back. The top, bottom and middle shelf are permenant, the others are adjustable. Book case is 6' high, 3' wide and 11 3/4" deep.

The bootbench is my design, made of QS white oak, one coat of dark stain and 3 coats of gloss wipe on polly. The bootbench is 27" long, 18" high, and 15 1/2" deep.

    Thanks for looking,

Both pieces are very nice, Don. Like the others I may have to pay you the compliment of stealing the design of the boot rack.

Both projects look great. I might have to lift some ideas from the bench, I'm supposed to build a shoe bench sometime in the (probably somewhat distant) future.

I didn't mean to imply that I didn't know that the bench is mission style, just that I didn't use any plans. I designed it to fit the space available and how high it needed to be to get two storage shelves to hold my size 12s
