              That is an amazing piece of work. Very unique and beautifully executed. I am guessing that the upper drawer is built as a separate unit and then attached/suspended from the frame.

                        I just cut my bandsaw into little pieces... I wouldn't know where to begin on a project like that!

                          Thank you for the kind words of support. Please remember bandsawn box making is all I do. When I look back at the first boxes I made they were fairly ordinary.

                            ok, i've been looking at it for awhile trying to figure out how you did it. is the suspended pod removed and put back on after the drawer is cut out? i don't see any other way to do it.

                              Yes, the making of this box was no different from the making of other bandsawn boxes, that is bandsaw a back section, then bandsaw the drawer section. When completed glue it all back together, then do the fine finishing ~ thats the time consumer!
