White oak display case

This is my version of the oak display case in the May issue of Wood magazine.
Mine differs slightly, white oak and solid wood shelves. (don't have access to white oak plywood) I have a large stock of rough white oak. Well it was a large stock Finish is two coats of lacquer. Pat

I just picked up that mag, as I saw it. I need a bookcase, although my spare wood right now is Walnut.

"Boomer" on the top shelf????? Choke choke cough NEVER.... Well ok, not never. My first boat was a boomer George C. Marshall SSBN 654, but I didn't have choice on that one. That model is the USS Permit SSN 594, the last of four attack boats I rode. Permit was the sister ship of the Thresher SSN 593
which went down off the coast of New Hampshire in the 60's.
Yeah, Thom said I need a new camera too but I told him I probably couldn't take any better pictures with a $1000 camera than I can with the hand me down. Pat

A realy nice job, Pat. How tall is it? Did you spray it with rattle can lacquer or have you gone to a sprayer? The finish looks nice.
