    Bandsaw box

I take absolutely no credit for the design of this. To the WW that posted his original and was kind enough to provide a drawing for the rest of us to use, I thank you.
I don't have a clue what the wood is, it was another piece of scrap that came from Lumber Liquidators. Finish is sprayed on lacquer. The drawer pulls are the result of a pass through the craft section of Wal Mart. Pat

I think designs like this are the pinnacle of creativity. While my design efforts focus on the 1:1.6 "golden rule," there are people out there using curves and whimsy that just prove they are at the top of the game.

The first time I saw the original piece I thought I'd never get there. But now I'm inspired.

Visibly enjoyed. Both the design, and the craftsmanship. That's quite a project. Thanks for posting.

Great rendition, Pat. Seems to me the original piece was a full size dresser.

Wow … very nice and you’re welcome. As I’ve been busy lately Tony Ward notified me that some one had made a box using the plans that I supplied to this forum. Thanks Tony.

I see you made a modification to the top … nice touch. Just wondering how you made the modification as the original plan was 6 inches across at the top, so either I’m thinking you have more clearance on your saw than I have (which is 6 inches) or you reduced the plan.

Did you encounter any problems during the construction of this box?

I don’t see any glue lines so I’m assuming this box is not laminated but made from a solid piece of wood.

It’s kind of strange for me to see a plan that you’ve worked on come to life in the hand of someone else.

And to Pappy … The original dresser was on Lee Valley tool catalog for March 2004
