    Italian Faux Finish

I finally found my digital camera after the move. I was beginning to think it was lost and almost bought another one. Found it in the back of one the kitchen drawers.

I had just finished painting our house in Oklahoma the way the LOML wanted and then I got the job offer out here in Colorado. She made me promise to paint the new house the same way before she'd consider moving.

Anyway, not a wood working project, but it's what has kept me out of the shop for 3 1/2 months. Everything was white when I started including the fireplace mantel. Painted everything trim, doors and walls.

I guess there was a little wood work involved, built the wine rack above the door.

That's beautiful work. I'm sure both of you are proud of it.

Looks nice, but I would have done something to cover up the the bricks.

                Thanks for the comments eveyone!

Edit: I wish I could have gotten it to show up with the camera, couldn't even with close-ups. But...the edging where the yellow meets brick is raised a bit with some light weight spackling, gives it a 3-D look, you can see shadows as if the plaster is falling off and chipping.
