    Be it ever so humble...

This is a little shelf to hold shampoo bottles in the shower. Because it's in a wet environment I made it out of cedar and redwood, without fasteners. It rests on the top edge of the ceramic tile. The corners of the shower stall are not square, and it tapers down to just 18" wide at the narrow end. Not exactly heirloom quality, but it should do the job.

I like it!!! Wife wants something for our shower, something like this might work!! Looks easy enough to make and to modify to the dimensions that are needed.

I like it, too. Immediately started thinking where I can use the idea in our house.

          Interesting take on the joinery!

That is just too cool. It has a very "nautical" look.

I too like the joinery. Looks nice and should be functional and long lasting.

That looks cool. simple and practical.

Looks like it could hold 50 variety of shampoos that seem to have overtaken my shower.

I disagree about the "heirloom" part. That is using design and species of wood to its fullest! Love the tenon's and the concept of using the tile to hold it all up. Great work!

I agree, don't cut your self short. It looks great. The way you built it makes it a very interesting piece to look at. There was definately some thought that went into that.

                          Nicely executed.
