Solution to pipe behind medicine cabinet

Here is my original medicine cabinet thread:

    http://www.bt3central.com/showthread.php?t=25458

And here is the solution, almost finished. I basically made two different sections. One of them is only about 1" deep to accomodate the pipe. The other is normal depth and I will put a couple of glass shelves in there.

Still trying to decide what to do with the 1" deep section. I will probably make something to hold tooth brushes or something. Maybe a high-capacity band-aid dispenser.

Boxes are BB plywood, frame is Cherry with floating tenons holding the frame together and biscuits holding frame to boxes. I used the glass hinges to maximize the size of the mirror (small bathroom, didn't want a huge medicine cabinet).

An excellent solution to an unexpected problem. I especially like the high-capacity band-aid dispenser idea -- let me know how that works out (I could use one).

Looks like an excellent solution to an unusual problem, Nicely done! I, too, like the 'high capacity bandaid dispenser' idea.

Nice work. The band aid dispenser or tooth brush holder are both good ideas.

A saw might fit there nicely.

looks a lot better than that pipe. Now to put hinges on it, ans somehow righ a secret shelf behind that enclosure...

Looks good!! I would suggest putting shelves in the 1" section. They can be used for medicine bottles, vitamins, etc. You will hate to have to dig behind things looking for what you want. You might not see the advantage NOW, but you will in the future .
