    Mechanist Tool Chest

With Christmas coming I needed a present for my son. Since he works in his home shop a lot I thought this tool chest would be just the thing. It is built from maple with a cherry stain and a poly finish. I lined all the drawers with rubber drawer pads. It is 30" wide, 19" high and 12" deep. The plans called for plywood for the top and sides but I had some maple left over so used it instead.

I'm kind of a toolbox freak. That's a great looking box, and heavy I bet. Should get a lot of use for a lot of years. Did you sign and date it yet?

                        Beautiful.

BTW - lrogers is a low-life. You don't want to adopt him. I, on the other hand, am industrious, charming, clean and take the trash out every week. I'm very adoptable.

No he is not a woodworker, he loves rebuilding corvettes and doing metal work when not on the job as a police officer.
