    A top

    Made several finger tops for a very good friends daughter for Christmas but I really like throwing tops. You can buy nylon tips for these but someone suggested using a nylon bolt or nylon bar stock. I used a bolt and turned the threads off. Wood is Bocote finished with CA glue. Gonna have to turn another one for myself now

                              Did I mention that I'm 53 and can't remember if I was ever any good at using a throwing top Cause if I was any good at it, I've lost my touch Tabby, I'm sure will have it figured out in about 10 minutes. Pat

                                      That looks pretty sharp. Seems like a great idea using that nylon for the tip.

                                      I hope you post when you've had a chance to 'test' it. Am curious how that tip holds up.

                                                          Very unique grain, and beautiful finish. If you don't use them for tops, they'd make great finials.
