Just finished it and hung it on the wall. It is made from red oak with a black stain. It is 36" long and 29.75" tall. The long radius is 108.75" and the small radius is 74.5". It holds 4 8x10 pictures.

Super cool, looks like you mitered all four muntins where they meet in the center?

That is real nice work. And I have the same question about the muntins. Yet another gift idea I don't have time to make. Sigh.

                very nice.
What stain did you use? I have always had to use dye to ebonize my projects.

The stain is Minwax water base stain. I took the 29oz can to the paint counter and had 2oz of lamp black mixed in. The muntins are strips of oak .05 thick, miters were done on a disk sander. Thanks for the coments

How did you do the radius? Did you clamp the piece down, and draw an arc with the center 108.75" away? If so why 108.75" and 74.5"? I must be missing something.

                      Forgot to add looks GREAT!!!

I draw everything in Solidworks, so I know exactly what the radius's should be.

As for cutting an exact raduis, I made a jig so I could swing the router across a piece of MDF to make a template.

My wife stands at the end to hold it in place. Just remember to compensate for the diameter of the router bit used.
