    A Thanksgiving Weekend project

My oldest doesn't get home quite as often as I would like but when he does we like to try and make something. My other children like the finished projects but aren't much into WW. This is turning, but it is finished These are a couple of pieces of a cherry limb. The same and not the same, the pieces were two different diameters. The two of us did a little cutting and a little sanding on both of them.

The neat thing about this turning is it seems there are more good uses for what used to go to the trash bin. Pat

Popeye, those are beautiful. I like the feature of the knots in the branches.

Very nice and nothing like making something with dad during the holidays.

Those are nice Pat. It's probably a good thing they haven't finished my new house yet as it's those kind of projects that tempt me to get in to turning.

Very nice Pat. Did those go on the table for Thanksgiving or waiting for Christmas?

Actually they are going on the entertainment center I built for Stephen 3 years ago.
Thanks for all the nice comments. It was good practice for Stephen who has only turned a pen before. And good practice for me turning with a chuck and hollowing with a bowl gouge. Pat

Great looking pieces. And time spent with your son is always a winner.
