Both the tables look great and you did a good job, however I gotta say I'm more impressed with your wife's candle holder. It's really impressive for a first attemped. BTW, I can't see the entertainment center. Keep up the good work, both of you!

The projects look very nice. Somehow I think the picture for the entertainment centre is missing!

Very nice looking work. If that is your first I can't wait to see your second.

It is red oak with black stain. The candle holder is made from wood off my sisters land in arrowhead. We think it is Black Oak.

Those look really nice. I like the table apron design a lot. For a first attempt on the lathe your wife also did some very nice work.

You both did good. Should be proud of those pieces. Was the table your own design or a plan? I like it. The entertainment piece is extremely nice and hard to believe one of your first pieces. Good jobs guys.

First attempt! I am curious to see what your projects will look like a year from now. Possibly another Sam Maloof?

Very nice indeed! If those are first projects, I can't wait to see the stuff you'll be making as you gain "experience".

Wow. First attempts huh? My girlfriend made a box for all of my first attempts. It's full to the brim with scrap wood that didn't come out right. hahaha. Actually, some of them were second and third attempts too....

                            Great job!

The entertainment system looks great! Anyway to get a bigger picture of it?
