    Practice project

LOML finally started using the lathe I bought for her 2 years ago. This is the first thing she has turned and was mainly for practice. She got so jazzed with the result, she's ready to do more.

This is just a piece of cheap laminated pine I had in the garage, left over stuff. She decided to dress it up with the wood burning tool. That was a first for her too. Has a couple of coats of poly on it.

Looks like it's leaning. That's because it's not sitting on a flat surface. Sorry.

I think I'm in for more expense the next time. She'll want to use the good stuff.

Easy to get them hooked on turning and suddenly they seem to understand the $$$ spent on tools and wood!

It sounds like an excellent opportunity to be able to buy anything your heart desires now. Take advantage!

Careful Claudio, you might find your tools moved to the curb and the shop taken over by your wife!
