Our neighbors are good friends and co-deck-drinking buddies. They were talking about wanting to remodel their kitchen and in an alcohol influenced stupor I offered to do the labor for free if they wanted to do it.

They did end up giving me a thankyou card w/ $500 in it which was real nice of em.

The original kitchen had floor tile laid up to the cabinets (not under done by previous owner) and of course the old lines did not match up with the new cabinets. I had to rotozip the grout lines on the partial tiles and bust them out. Fortunately they had extra tiles in the attic left by the orignal owner of the house.

Just kidding fiasco . Beutiful job. Glass shower tub. Whirlpool. His and Her shower heads. Hey now

Again, your craftsmanship shines brightly on this job.

Anxious to see what you do with the cabs. What do you have in mind? Following an example or winging it?

      Regards,
      Greg
No plans, just rough dimensions of what the finished cabinets needed to be. I would stop occassionaly and examine my kitchen cabinets or guidence.

Well I have the carcasses and face frames done and assembled. I made mistakes here and there but none that will be visible once they are mounted.

You can see I cut my stiles short on one cabinet. I forgot that I had an extra half inch of hight on the top rail to give a little extra space for the crown molding to be nailed into. Drilled a dowel hole in the wrong side of a stile that I thought was a rail. Fortunately it's at the top.

I was burning my plywood rips on the table saw but got a little better on it with each additional cuts and the burns were minimized on subsequent rips.

I have my stiles and rails jointed and planed and ready to use my MLCS 6 piece cabinet router bit set on em tomorrow. I need just a little more rough cut for the raised panel doors.

I am inspired! Doing a lot of the same projects that I need to do on my house. I'm going to turn LOML loose on this thread...BTW, hon, about that tool update list...
            Measure it with a micrometer...
            Mark it with a crayon...
Cut it with a chain saw!

Fortunately for me my house is only about 1250 sq feet total (950 up, 300 down)

Cabinets are up. I am making a 6" wide display shelf for the exposed side of the end cabinet. Then crown molding goes up top flush with the ceiling.

99.9% finished. Need a mirror w/ venetian brass trim (or make one like a cabinet door out of oak after searching for venetian brass mirror for years in vain). vanity kick and small piece of trim by the door.

I used the MLCS pins & tails dovetail jig and the MLCS 5 piece router cabinet set for the cabinets and drawers.
