    A pair of bookcases

I built these to flank our entertainment center, to make a mobile media wall. They are red oak with gilded onlays for the crest rails. Adjustable shelf sleeves are brass. I can't believe how busy I've been, as I have 4 jobs going right at the moment. These have taken FAR longer than they should have done.

Very cool, Keith! I like how the gold complements the red oak.

Let me guess: dowels for the face frames?

Very nice! Finish looks smooth as glass--did you fill the oak before the topcoats?
                              Measure it with a micrometer...
                              Mark it with a crayon...
Cut it with a chain saw!
