    Nine-pot plant stand

Here is a photo of the American Woodworker plan for a nine-pot plant stand (http://www.rd.com/americanwoodworker...th/page2.html). I made this for a friend's wedding annaversery. It is made from cedar and has three coats of General Finish's Outdoor Oil. Finish went on very well and was easy to use. Burshed it on and wiped off excess with a cloth.
The 3/8" dowels coming out of each disk is used to keep the pots from blowing off in the wind.

    Nice job!

I bet you used cedar just for the smell of it!

Very nice plant stand. The spikes are a great idea also. Around my little town there would have to be a way to anchor the whole thing down and put something on the spikes to hold the pots on. The wind blows very hard here and will knock things like that over.

But I am saving the link because I like it and think I have some cedar to make one of those, of course I will have put it on the back covered patio

What a great gift. Very well done, and it's a cool design. I'm in the process of figuring out what to do in my back yard, and this gives me ideas.

                              Very nice design and execution.

First read the title of the thread and wondered why pot plants needed a stand.
