Hi guys here is my latest creation.
A friend asked me to make him a table. He would even pay me for it if I signed it. (who am I to turn down cash). So here is the table it is made out of sapele. The same wood that made the butterfly box out of. Total cost for the wood with shipping was about 50 bucks. 40+ for shipping from tenn.
The table is 23 x 23. Meant to be 24x24 but had to shave off some burn marks that just would not same out.
The legs are tapered to the top using the SMT with an extended L shaped fence.
Aprons to leg joints are mortice and tenon. Hand chiseled (I really need more space or I would have a morticing machine) and tenons cut on band saw (how did I live with out one!!)
The following is a link to an MP4 file of the table in the sun. It was take with my cell phone so the quality is not the best. The part I like the best is how the color and grain depth change as the angle that the sun is hitting it.

The server this is on does not stream so you might want to save the file to your machine before playing it. Also I am not sure what CODEC it uses.

Oh and the finish is just water based poly.
