Not your everyday project around here. Are you going to redo the stock/etc yourself? That would be an insteresting project.

I have the 7.62 as well as the 5.56 model. A lot of fun to shoot pine cones with.

                  What I used to like . . .

When I was in high school, my dad bought us one of these Browning Auto-5's, complete with ventilated rib and adjustable choke. Great for waterfowl, pheasants, etc. Well crafted and reliable.

Now we're talkin'. A serious weapon. Great piece for a collection, and even better if you have a place to safely use it. Some of the indoor ranges I've been to in my area don't even have a magnum lane. Had to go out in the Everglades to try out a KG99, 9mm.

Um, well I refuse to answer that question in a public place!

I used to be very heavy into guns in my younger days. I even had an FFL license at one point and did some gunsmithing years ago.

I got to shoot it today. What a sweet rifle! Since I didn't have a spotting scope and just open sights, I didn't try farther than 100 yards. It sure doesn't kick like my 8mm Mauser The guy sitting on my right had to dodge shell casings though That rifle will sure sling them a ways

I own all Remingtons besides 1 Glock. I love em all except the piece of junk .22. I would like to get one of the bull barrell bolt action .22's some day. They stopped making the 541T HB and have a new one now or maybe a 17 Magnum.
I bought a box of bullets this weekend for my 300RUM and they were $44. For 20 stinkin bullets....Im saving my empties though. Eventually I will probably start to reload.
