    Pet Cremation Box

The daughters cherished Brandi had to be put down recently and she asked me to make a simple box for the ashes.
Sorry about the pics, I'm giving up taking decent shots of small objects with my camera.
The box is Purpleheart with Padauk cornerpost dovetails, a Padauk bookmatch panel in the lid and Padauk wooden hinges. All of the joinery was done with an Incra Ultra. The finish is 3 light coats of Waterlox Satin buffed with 0000 wool between coats and buffed with a piece of brown paper after the final coat. Then a coat of Ren wax.
We had a laser engraving of Brandi done at a local trophy shop.
    Thanks for having a look.

Beautiful box, Ken. Shame you had to build it for such a purpose.

The reason for the build is not good (Sorry)...

            ...But it came out great.

An honorable effort for an honored part of her family.
