I have been lurking around these boards for a while and my favorite section is the finished projects. So I figure I would add my own.
This one has taken me longer than anticipated due to my router dying and the insane heat, but I finally bit the bullet this weekend and put on the finishing touches.
This is the first of the pieces of furniture I have made to replace my beginner pieces that were ummm...crappy.
Here is a picture of the original chest. When I made this chest I had limited skills and tools, it was too big (a design mistake on my part) and the top was not stable. The top actually bowed about a half an inch as the temperature changed. It's funny now, but at the time I was pissed.
Old Maple Chest
The new chest I am very happy with. Having learned my lesson on the previous chest, I made sure the top would not warpor bow by alternating the top boards, putting in braces and sealing the top the second it was done.
So here is a picture of the chest and a link to other pictures.

New Walnut Chest
Also, if you want to check out my other projects, you can see them here.
