DVD Wall Cabinet

This is a wall cabinet that was mostly made to use a pair of bookmatched spralded sycamore pannels I had. The rest of the cabinet is made of walnut. The finish is 3 coats of Watco danish oil. It's hung using a french cleat. Thanks for looking.

You really captured the beauty of those door panels. The contrast with the walnut is very creative. I like how you planned the inside to store with using all the space.

Actually I didn't plan all that well, I didn't plan on the european type hinges taking up space that's now unusable. Hopefully I'll remember and won't make that mistake again

"How did you join the door rails & stiles?"
I think it's called "stub tennon and grove". I cut a 1/4" X 3/8" deep grove in the rails and stiles to fit the pannels then cut 1/4" X 3/8" long tennons on the ends of the rails.

Thanks for all the nice comments, I like the doors alot but there are some things I would do differently on the cabinet design if I had it to do over again.

I hate to rain on the parade, but the big problem I see is that it looks like it's running out of room fast.
