    Complete Office/Den Oak Cabinetry

This is only one of the three walls done in a 12'x17' room. Angled cabinet has pocket doors covering TV pull out/swivel. A flush top on the crown moulding is lighted for displaying glass crystal car models. Materials and tools had to go to and from the seventh floor. With one helper, installation took about 2 weeks.

For sale: one slightly used table saw, and a bunch of other tools that I obviously don't know how to use.

Looks great! I hope you had an elevator on site!

    Regards,
    Tom

Nice. Now I am afraid to do cabinetry, because it might not even come close to looking like that.

Very nice work. It's good to see there are folks out there still willing to pay for a nice piece of solid wood. I can only imagine how much oak went into that job.

Materials included three thicknesses of red oak plywood, in 4'x8' sheets. solid oak starting with 5/4 stock, custom mix oil stain, many gallons of waterbased polyurethane, hardware, lighting, glass, mirrors, nails, screws, air brads, dowels, biscuits, and last but not least - glue. Mouldings included base, trim, fluted columns, crown, door and window, and panel, none of which were off the shelf. A rough estimate of materials cost was close to $4K. The room was built, finished, and preassembled in the shop, taken apart and reassembled on the job. Most of the moulding had to be fitted on the job.

It was an absolute pleasure to do this kind of work for a client that appreciates craftsmanship. I was referred to this client and was given total latitude in designing the work and incorporating the clients personal needs.
