    Scavenged table

Hiya, guys. Here is a little coffee table I just finished up this weekend for some friends. I'm pleased with it because the majority of it was made from pieces destined for the dump. The top is a slab of granite (kitchen sink cutout), the legs are made from cutoffs from staircase ballisters, and the other parts are made from a couple of oak step treads that were damaged. I did splurge on the moldings to frame the rough edges of the granite. Total cost of the project was around $20.

    JBCrooks,

It looks superb... Its amazing that you were able to build that from leftover material. Looks like the material was bought just for the project :-)

I wish I had your imagination when I look at scraps and trash. I suspect I've thrown away or burned some nice projects because I can't visualize possibilities as well as you.

            Nicely done!

Excellent use of "recycled" parts. Your choice of stain/finish really compliments that piece of granite.
