Looks good, John. I like the pull out bit storage.

What I also like about the bit racks is that they tilt so that getting bits in and out is a snap. They can also be replaced very easily in case you need a different layout, I just created a pattern that works for both 1/4" and 1/2" bits.

Great table John. A router table is a lot of work, and I can see a lot went into this one. Its one of those projects that the maker stands back and is very proud, but non-woodworkers can't appreciate. Excellent job.

Oh yes, I just have to wait for my next bit of shop time, I finished building a fence with dust collection for it today. Should have some time to finish it next week.

No, I just tilt and lock the table in the up position and then make the adjustments, if I just need to make a minor adjustment I open the door and use the micro adjustment knob.

Fence & Feather board

I added a fence and feather board to the router table, also painted it.

Looks nice John! I'm a little curious about those featherboards. How are they attached on that board? One thing, although minor, is your DC on the fence. If you ever need to make another, you may want to consider angling the port upwards like most you see in mags. Way back when I had a Craftsman table I made a replacement fence and had the port angled up. The when I made my new one, I made the port nearly identical to yours. I swear the old on picked up the dust better. I don't know why. One other thing that I ran into, is when I went to a 4" DC hose instead of the vac. With the port straight the adapter is a tight fit. Luckily I found one with an offset hookup that worked.

They are dadoed in, 1/2 into the lower board half into the featherboard. Then glued and brads. Hopefully with the 4" dust collector drawing from below the one in the fence in combination should do it. I should be installing the dust collection system in a couple of weeks.

That's the first time I've seen that type of plumbing for the fence mounted dust pick-up. I really like that. Nice job on your table. I've been beating my head against just an extension table on my tablesaw.
