    Small oak ottoman

Needed a small project to get me moving. Except for the legs this was made from white oak cutoffs that I couldn't bear to toss It will get a nicer cushion but I need a better excuse to drive 45 miles than just to get the supplies to make one. For now the Walmart pillow will do. Pat

It is very nice. You did an excellent job on using the cutoffs.

Pat - How long were the tenon's you used on that? Are the legs 1 3/4" square? I'm doing a set of end tables with a similar design.

Pat, did you use a dedicated mortiser on those? Beautifully done.

Yup, trying to master my HF mortiser. I'm starting to get alittle better. Set up is key, like everything else. Not hard on the HF but I've been known to leap into things without taking time tweak things in. Pat

Im using my new mortiser on my end tables and you're right Pat, the key is the setup. I'm putting together a tutorial on the experience with lessons learned.

                            Pat,

Great use of the cutoffs. Looks great, even with the Walmart pillow.
