This spring, I have been busy with several outdoor projects. I build a small garden bridge, a bench with a trellis over it, and I finished a bamboo fence around a section of the front garden (I no longer have a front yard on that side of the house, just a garden. Less mowing
The bridge and fence were my own ideas, based on other projects and pictures in books. The bench is a plan from a Bill Hylton book that was modified to use lumber that was readily available. The lumber was some 15+ year air dired white cedar that my father in law had in his garage. He had planned a project for it that never happened, so I got it when I came up with good projects for it. The bamboo came from his yard, mostly stalks that were dead and need to be cut down anyway.
