I got bored watching the glue dry...

on the leg blanks for my mission end tables. So, I found a scrap piece of 1/2" oak ply and made this. When I'm home alone in the shop I miss calls if I leave the cordless in the house. If I bring it into the shop I can never find the phone when it rings and its a mess when I take it back in. So now I have a home for it.

I hope you either drilled a bunch of holes in the Bottom, or used 1/4" Hardware Cloth for the Bottom. Otherwise your Phone Cradle is going to be full of Saw Dust and your Phone will really be a mess. DAMHIKT

    It does look nice though.

Oh, that phone thingy looks nice. Maybe a lid of some sort will be in stor when the finish is drying.

Nice idea Ken! The problem I have out in the shop is if I ever drop a phone in my turning shavings it is lost forever! On the other hand though, a dear friend of mine came and visited me in the shop for about half a day last weekend. While I worked and she chatted with me she swept the entire shop out! Man, she did like 2 tall paper garbage bags full. I think I am going to have her visit me more often. On phones though, my wife makes me take my cell phone out with me just in case and I do it as her alternative is to put a “Baby Monitor” out there! On waiting for glue to dry, I have come to the conclusion that I have more projects planed than I will be able to do in what’s left of my life so now I am working two at a time. When I am waiting for something to happen on one may it be glue drying, hardware or whatever I turn and work on the other.

That's a good idea. I hope it has a LOUD ringer. With tools running & ear muffs on, I can hear mine even attached to my belt.

Actually - it lights up, a handy feature in the shop.

Ken - I've also started with the "two at a time" syndrome. While gluing up the second set of legs tonight I plan on making a tenoning jig for the BT.

                  Ken,
Now all you need is for Lee to make you a Shark Phone Guard (Lee do I get a royalty on that?)
