Only finish was 3 coats UV resistant polyurethane. Top is a piece of acrylic laid over the cedar boards. Anyone have a suggestion for a more heat-proof surface??

P.S. Plans can be found free on Lowe's www site.

Tried it out for the first time Memorial day. Good height, lots of work room.

Took the grandson into the shop for the first time too. At 5 months he kept looking at the tools!!!!

That's right - start him young

Nice cart - I like the color of red cedar.

            Outstanding! ...

Nice work! Thanks for the tip about where to locate the plans ... that looks like a candidate for some of my remaining redwood scrap!

I'll bet you have a heck of a brisket recipe to go with that good looking cart. If you do, please share. I'll swap you a good pulled pork recipe.

                Warren,

Found this the other day and thought you may like it. It is from an old cook in Central Texas, where cooking briskets supposedly began. I read dozens of recipes till I found this one, I copied it for my own use, saw your post, and thought you may like it. Go to http://www.heb.com/mealtime/CT-brisketSecrets.jsp

If the link doesn't work, let me know
