    Couch Table

Made it for LOML a year ago before we moved. Finally got around to putting the finish on. Breadboard ends and Middle are walnut, rest is Red Oak. Finish is 2 coats Formby's Tung Oil and 2 coats (5 on tabletop and underside) clear poly. The grain on the oak on both sides of the top matched until glueup - I screwed up. I've got an order for another one. I think I will try bent laminations for the legs on the next one.

    Nice work, Dave.

That's interesting grain on the left half.

Nice Dave. Do you have any pictures of the legs? I'd like to see one with bent lamination legs.

        Looks good, David.

I would have thought that bent laminations would have too much bounce?

Real nice work, Dave. The Walnut/Oak contrast sets the piece off.

I dunno. Hadn't thought about that. But then it won't be a seat, just a table to put cups, etc on. The original problem I had with this one was side-to-side stiffness of the legs so I figured bent laminated legs would take care of that.

                    Mark,

Haven't done the other one yet - I am going to TRY and get more woodworking type stuff done this year - operative word being try. When I do I will take pics of the legs.
