    great looking job pat!! i am in the middle of making the exact same nightstand from the same wood magazine plan. i hope mine looks half as good as yours when i'm finished.

    pappy mentioned a dresser? i posted pics of the mission dresser i finished a few weeks ago(from wood magazine plans). did you make one of those too? love to see the pics if you did.

            Wow, Pat, that looks beautiful! I appreciate that you chose not to stain it, the color of the wood is really warm. Great job! Was this from leftovers from the coffee table?

                    Good job!

                    I used Deft on a set of oak kitchen cabinets in our former house and found it less durable than I expected. Hope you have better luck. I use poly now, usually polycrylic. I would put some extra coats on the top - I think I used 3 and water got behind it on some of the doors and inside the cabinets.

                      Nicely done Pat! How did you make the corbels? Router w/template or just band saw and OSS sander? In many of my projects I find that only shop made pulls fit the look I'm going for.

                        The corbels I had a full size pattern for and nothing to glue it on with so.... I transfered it by laying out 1" marks across the first one and faired the curve in. Cut and sanded it and then used it as a template to rough cut the other 3, carpet taped the template to the others and used a flush trim bit to finish them. Pat
