I see some for about $150. Is it worth it to fix this saw, or buy a new one? Any cheaper sources for a motor?

I see them on eBay for $130-$160+. (actually some closer to $100 but with shipping it gets to $130.
It depends on you. I probably would fix my saw. Because of my age, I do not need to invest in a more expensive machine, and I really like the BT's design and flexibility, which I have been using for 23 years. I don't push it but I do occasionally rip 2x4s through the 4 inch side.

I would definitely fix it if it were mine. I wonder what an entire used saw would go for? I've been saving my BT3100 to use for parts if needed.Jim Frye
