    Rip fence adjustments

I`m having trouble keeping the fence parallel to the blade. Every time I move the fence and clamp it down, it goes out of square with the blade. It seems to be the action of clamping that moves it on the opposite end of the fence. It`s really frustrating trying to repeat cuts. and hold square. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

That is most likely the fence doing exactly what it is designed to do however in your case yours is out of adjustment. In the Best of Forums there are several older threads with lots of information as to the possible fix. Scroll to the bottom and choose show all.

There's a few threads on the same.
I've found that if I pull on the handle slightly when clamping down the fence won't seem to move around. Putting a little bit of force on it will keep it square to the front rail. I mean square in as much as keeping it in it's intended alignment.

        Here's a recent thread with a similar problem: http://www.bt3central.com/showthread.php?t=52435
