    Out feed table

Originally I had this on my BT3000. As you can see I mounted my 21890 onto the BT3000 base and mounted the BT3000 to the 21890 folding stand so I can use it as my jobsite saw. Anyway, my outfeed table is 17" X 23", odd measurements probably a scrap that was handy but long enough to support a 4' stock being cut. Its held up with a 1 X 3 sitting on a 1X3 ledger screwed into the base. Made it level with the top of the saw no matter where you placed the saw. I have it placed so that in case I want to use my SMT it won't be in the way. You can fold it down for easy storage.

Looks good. The only thing missing is a Sharkguard. Hope your fingers don't hit the blade like mine did - before the Sharkguard.

I do have a shark guard w/anti kick bk. pawls & shark push stick for the saw. Due to my bad habits, I usually use only the riving knife, it's lowered in the pictures so U can't see it.

How does the folding stand work with your BT3000? I bought a used BT3000 for use as a portable saw. I haven't found an aftermarket stand that fits the saw and doesn't weigh a 100 lbs.

I'm just about ready to sell the saw and mind a smaller one.

Herman, that folding stand came with the craftman 218290 TS which is the clone of the BT3000 TS. So I just swaped the stands, both saws have the same footprint so it just bolts on. U probably can just buy the stand from Sears. A better stand would be the BOSH stand but U might have to make a few adjustments to mount your saw (check amazon.com).
Anyway, the folding stand works well, very balanced and easy to fold & unfold. I still need help to load it into my truck.
Another way is to part out your BT3000, I'm sure you'll make more parting out the saw than selling it whole. Money made from this sale could be used to buy a CMAN 218290 TS or other brand TS w/folding legs. Hope this answer your questions.....Jimmy

Jabe, What I can't see from your photo is where you place the support "leg" in the stored position. In the third pic, it appears to drop down and under the saw body. Is that correct?

Krogers, yes the top drops dn. and the support leg just goes under the saw. I added a 1/2" plywd spacer on the bot. of the table then the 3" strap hinge attached to it & support leg. The 1/2" spacer allows for clearance of the knuckle of the hinge & prevents the leg from opening more than 90 degrees when the table is lowered. I also added 1" spacer on the bot. of the table @ the rail end to bring it level with the top of the saw table. The spacers were made with scrap 3/4", 1/2" & 1/4" plywds. A simple idea that works. I'll take some close-up pictures and post it.
