Fast way to check/set SMT parallel to blade

Here is a video from WoodSmith that shows a fast, accurate, easy, and CHEAP way to check that the blade and miter slot on an "old fashioned" table saw are parallel.

This can also be used with the BT3K to check and set the SMT to slide parallel to the blade. Test once. Then rotate the blade 180deg and test again to compensate for blade runout.

Do the "five-cut method" to set the miter fence 90deg to the blade and you are in business.

This has the same low tech approach as my "No Measure" method!

That's nice, but there is a lot move to tuning up a SMT than just testing to see if the blade is parallel to the SMT. I just finished doing or for a Sears 21806.
