    BT3000 Missing SMT?

First post. Beginner. Thanks in advance for any help.

Am I correct that this saw appears to be missing its SMT?

If so, is it still possible to purchase a replacement? From whom, and for how much?

Yes, that is a BT3000. An SMT can frequently be found in the Member Classifieds on this site. Prices are usually around $70, IIRC. You might also check ebay. A new one could be purchased from M&D Tools or Sears.

    Good Luck,

Or, you could put a set of miter slots on the table and use a miter gauge, Incra jig, or a sled...

Where do you get the miter slots? I am very interested in finding a way to add miter slots...
