    Just getting started

Picked up a bt3000 the other day for $40. Does not have a blade guard or miter fence knob/bracket. Like the title says, I'm just getting started in woodworking and the project list is growing.

There's several threads in here about the best way to pick up the parts. I've seen the miter knob & bracket on ebay for fairly cheap. You really only need the bracket, the knob and bolt can be done easily with other items. A T-Bolt and a store bought or shop made knob would do it.

If you've got the funds and a little time a Sharkguard would be a nice add. I really, really like mine.

$40!! What a steal! I have ordered lots of little parts off of Amazon. If you get the bt3000 part sheet, you can order just about any part. I have found that Mowtown on Amazon is pretty quick with getting me things and they are based in Ohio.

        Dave,

Welcome to the best WWing forum on the planet!

I have a spare BT guard and probably some other parts that may help you. PM me with what you need and I am sure we can work something out.
