Burned up a BT3000 table saw motor and ordered a new field assembly and armature. Just noticed at a website that Ryobi changed the original motor from 13 to 15 amps. I assume my original motor was 13 amp and the part reseller could not tell me if what was shipped was 13 or 15 amps. My question is are 13 or 15 amp motor replacement parts compatible with the original motor housing, brushes and saw housing/components? Or must an entirely new motor and housing be purchased?

Look for a sticker on the side panel, right above the power cord/outlet. That'll have the build date (code) for your saw and a note about the motor amperage: it'll say something like "120VAC 13A" or "120VAC 15A"
120 Volts Alternating Current, 13 or 15 Amps. At least for saws sold in the U.S.
