    Let SAWZILLA live on

I have not been here on the site for some time.
This is due to the fact I have had little time to start any projects and more importantly that my saw has died.
Yes I have fried the motor after 6 years of abuse.

But for those of you who would like to build a sawzilla of your own I have my plans available on my home page and yes they are free to whom ever would like them.
They are drawn using AutoCAD so if you do not have the program you will have to d/l a *.DWG viewer available for free on the WEB.

Thanks! I'm planning to build a Sawzilla myself. On a related note, I know your rails are on ebay, but since they have 0 bids now would you consider cancelling the auction and selling a pair outright? If so, send me a PM with the price shipped to 35023. If not, I will bid. Thanks.

I'd hate to end the bidding early.
Just my miss directed sense of fairness.

Also someone was asking what casters I used on sawzilla.
Well the ones in the photo were from a HRC generic mobile base and lasted about 2 days.
With all the MDF they just kind of gave out.

What I eventually went with was the following, much sturdier and home made:
I used 4" square tubing 3/8" thick with heavy duty casters from Rocker.
I can practically drive sawzilla down the street without a problem.

I was the one asking about the castors so thanks for the info.

Looking at your photo, did you use double 3/4 mdf for everything? The uprights look thicker than 3/4?

No, I built a frame of 3/4" MDF and applied a 1 1/2" Face frame to it.
That is the reason to the wider look.

            Ah ok.

I'd take that off of you if it wasn't for the fact I'm in MD

              Yeah,
the shipping cost would be a *****.
I was hoping someone near San Bernardino, California would be interested.
When my new Harley arrives it has to go, I need the floor space!

Wow - impressive!! Thanks for the plans. I'm relatively new to this forum and have a couple of questions about Sawzilla:

                1. What material did you use for the tabletop?
                2. Where did you get the extended rails?
