Hello all...

I'd like to mount miter slot tables on both sides and have seen this hardware on Ebay.

Does anyone have any feeback on it? Is there anything that does the job better?

I have had the dual miter slots on both sides of the blade on my saw for a long time....just like it better
that way. It comes in handy if you decide to build a larger crosscut sled for the saw as it will keep the sled
running true and parallel to the blade and less chance of it getting skewed out of alignment to the blade.

Also, if you decide to use a convential miter gauge like comes with most saws, you have a slot to the
right to use when the time comes or need arises to do so. Some folks cut on the right side of the blade,
others like to cut on the left side of the blade, just a personal prefrence I guess! eezlock

I have also used the dual miter slots on both sides of the saw. The main issue I had was that the slots are not true t-slots and my miter gauge would tip out and end up on the concrete floor if I wasn't careful.

Here is a picture of a "mini-miter" that I use. It can be positioned anywhere along the rails, just be careful to make sure that the slot is aligned to be parallel to the blade.

This one is made with a miter slot from MLCS and left over MDF for a base and 3/4 in oak for the upper surface. Two or three coats of wipe-on poly and a good waxing make a great surface.

The kit from Komatoast is well known. Note that the kit does not include the actual miter slot assembly, just the mounting hardware and instructions.

Some have questioned whether the price is properly set for the value of this kit. OTOH, it performs as advertised with good instructions. I have one mounted on my BT3000 and am happy with it.

I bought two miter tables and the kit. I ended up removing the left table, as it moves the sliding table too far away for my tastes.

The kit is just a couple of aluminum brackets plus the nuts, bolts and washers. The key is, the brackets are correct for getting the job done.

I agree the lack of T slots limits the usefulness of the miter table, but they are very handy for miter sleds and similar jigs.

I've used the mounting kit and it works well. It's well made and sturdy. Makes mounting the table on the right side easy.

Devin, here are a few pictures. The mounting blocks are oak, but I have used MDF with good success. Regards, Steve
