Router Table

Has anyone made their own inserts for the router table on the BT3K? I have contemplated getting the Accessory kit that's available, but in reality the only two things I want are the miter slot insert and the little plastic circle inserts for the router table. I know I can make a miter slot insert. I am wondering if anyone has made the plastic inserts that would go in the router table. If so, how?

I haven't done it but it seems like a good idea. The plastic ones are not adjustable and don't sit flush with the table. You could set them up so that they are secured to the table from underneath putting the insert through the top and pulling it tight with tabs screwed to the inserts...
