    Feather board for rip fence

I don't know if this was a good idea on not, but I like to make sure the piece of wood I am cutting stay nice and flat as it goes through the blade. I looked at some of the articles here and came up with this. The t-track is the stuff Rockler has on sale for 10.99. The feather board was originally for a router, but it seems to work ok for me.

Looks like a good idea to me. I have a melamine face on my rip fence with a t-slot at top to attach a feather board too. Your way seems to work and requires no extra face to the rip fence.
