    Helicoil---- fixed for elevation problem

    Helicoil replacement.

I was eventually successful with my helecoil fix for the stripped aluminum collar on the motor housing.
The helpful instructions for removal of the steel shaft and gear were great. The 10d finishing nail usages for removing the roll pin worked just great.
I used a product called Perma-Coil, and as stated in the instruction fix and as noted by others would responded to my inquiry the correct size was 9/16 x 12
I purchased a motor housing as a backup just incase I was unsuccessful with the coil repair. I think that if one was to try and remove both the arbor and motor shafts from the housing, this could be just as intricate and time consuming as for the proper alignment of the coil insertion.
The cost of the perma coil kit was $42.00,
I don’t have the required drill bit, for drilling out the hole. My friend used a milling machine to enlarge the hole to the required size.
I would be willing to lend the tap and insertion tool and provide one coil to anyone who has a need. Just pay for the shipping (both ways) + $5.00, I would like to have the kit returned. If that proves to be more economical that buying the kit yourself. I’m in Sunnyvale, California 94086
