How do I fix my fence?

    How do I fix my fence?

    The rear roller assembly of my fence broke last night. There is a plastic assembly that has two holes through which a pin allows the claming arm to pivot. Those two holes cracked.

    I've found the part on a couple of web sites. The Q I have is how difficult is this to replace? I see a couple of screws from underneath that hold the assembly, but I imagine that I have to start at the other end of the fence, because it looks like (from the diagram) that there is a threaded rod that connects front to back.

    Any tips?

      I think the entire assembly can be switched out at the rear of the fence. There is a rod in there, but its not attached to the end. It only actuates the clamp lever by contact. It sits in a locator hole in the rear assembly.
      Someone else may jump in and explain this in better detail.

          Lee nailed it! Two screws and you are done BTDT. Just be carefull to slip the rod into the rod pocket; when you get the part you will see what I mean.

          When I ordered mine it came without any of the other parts installed. If you can not buy the part assembled then you will have to move the rear clamper and roll pin to the new part. A few taps with a hammer and then use a c-clamp to push the roll pin all the way in.

              Easy 5 minute job. The only thing I ever had to replace on my BT3000 - after 10+ years!
              Downunder ... 1" = 25.4mm
