alternative to t-nuts in a pinch

had to get something out the door quickly and didn't have any t-nuts available to attach a jig to the top of the fence...looked around the shop and found a couple of 1 1/8" nylon furniture glides, the kind with the 1/4" stud...a little sanding on the bottom and they slipped right in...they worked just fine and I got the job out...no guarantees on how long they will last but they seem pretty sturdy...

I regularly use filed down 1/4 nuts in the small grooves. I also use 1/8 flat stock with either tapped holes or brazed in studs in the larger grooves.

6mm nuts (8mm wrench) fit perfectly, they are slightly smaller then 1/4"
