    lost posts

I'm probably not the only one but I'm really bummed about all the old posts that were lost in the transition...so much excellent info is apparently gone...once the new software gets running smoothly is there any way to try and recover the lost posts? I'm a database programmer myself and know it is possible,...also know it does take time...
thanks for these excellent forums and your hard work

    hi,

i'm not 'bummed' at all about it actually. sam said we lost 537 posts to the "Craftsman torque wrench" bug - but that's not bad at all when you consider that originally 164531 posts were corrupted! in fact sam did a terrific job and i for one am extremely grateful.

i'm quite sure that anything i need to know from the forum i can find in those 164531 posts. if not, i'll ask and some kind member will steer me in the right direction.

I got the impression from Sam Conder's update that there really aren't that many unrecoverable posts (~500?), and they're recent ones.

To mitigate the loss, my recent posts have all been rather worthless and unhelpful. Hey, I do what I can.

      Regards,
      Tom
