Dubby and the BT-3000

At many of the woodworking shows there is a table saw sliding table demonstrated called the Dubby. This table slides in the miter slot and cuts very precise angles. While the SMT can cut precise angles as well the great advantage of the Dubby is that it is engraved with exact settings (not measurements) to cut a perfect miters for three to twelve side frames and boxes. The cuts can be made in a few minutes without math. So I asked the deomostrator who is the manufacturer about using the Dubby with my BT=3000 and the answer was that the table is not long enough front to back, He suggested that a six inch back table is required with aligning miter slot to adapt the BT-3000 for the jig.

Does anyone out there have the Dubby and use it with the Bt-3000? If so, did you need to adapt the saw in anyway, and how?

I have the Dubby on my 3100, no modifications needed as long as you have the miter slots installed.

Real quick review: It does everything that they claim it will do at the shows. I am very happy with it.

Dubby fan

I havent had mine long but so far it is as easy to set up as they said it was and it has accuracy that is unquestionable, and repeatable. I bough the standard platform , mainly because i use an out feed table already, I can see that it might be a problem without the out feed table.
