Good deal. I have the slightly larger one and really like it. Much lighter than my older 18V. Btw, I believe these new 20V are actually 18V. Just branded differently to differentiate the type of batteries used.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

This is the Black Friday drill.. A good drill but a few things to keep in mind.

They made a few changes from the standard drill to get the cost down.

The DCD771C2 has less power (300W) than the standard DCD780 (350W)
        400 less RPM.. 1600 max v 2,000

It comes with 1.3AH packs with no LED indicator.
Standard packs are 1.5AH with led charge indicators.

The charger is slower.. 45 min to charge 1.3AH vs 30min with charger and 1.5AH packs that come with the DCD780.

That said for half the price of the standard it's still a good drill and a great deal.

I was going to pick one up last week but my wife talked me into the Porter cable 20V impact driver/drill combo pack. Lowes had left the black Friday $150 sale tags up on the display and after a little conversation with the department manager I got it for the BF sale price.

The PC is a little more compact than the Dewalt, still has a ratcheting chuck like the DW and has magnetic bit holders that I really like.

My local ACE has the same deal.

          I passed it by.

18 and 20v packs are too bulky for me.

My Makita 12V unit weighs 2.2 lbs

This unit weighs in around 5-6 lbs.

Actually, the drill weighs 3.6lbs (3.9 with the battery), still a little heavier than any 12v drill.
