    Hardwood lumber-Huntsville, AL

Just found out about this place from a friend. His prices look fantastic. He's a hobbyist with a real job, and does this on the side.

Looks like I might have to get busy and take some fallen oak logs to the mill now. 35 cents a ft to mill.

I haven't been there yet, but looking forward to talking to him. I need to arrange transport for some fairly large red and white oak logs. Might even cut some cedar while I'm at it.

For 35 cents a ft to mill, there is some profit to be made and so much left over to stack in my pile.

Just out of curiosity, what is the typical going rate for custom milling of large logs, if delivered to the mill?
